We believe that each person has the right to live and work in an environment which provides the greatest degree of independence and quality of life possible.  At Touchstone Neurorecovery Center, each client enrolled in this program receives a comprehensive vocational assessment to determine programming that is consistent with their unique interests, capabilities, and short and long-term goals.  The vocational program offers a variety of opportunities for clients to continue their rehabilitation and return to competitive, meaningful employment. Note: Touchstone Neurorecovery Center is contracted with Texas’s Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) to provide vocational services.

“The mission of the Vocational Services Program at Touchstone is developing a set of skills a person can place on a resume and unmasking the self-pride associated with the ownership of these skills.  These are assessed, identified and transferred resulting in some type of a vocational plan.  Whether inpatient or outpatient, the plan includes participating in the Vocational Services programs to enhance the physical endurance, cognitive skills, positive worker traits and marketable skills of the individual.  The Vocational Services Program complements the goals set forth by the skilled therapies in real world settings.
