ABOUT US

In 1992, Nexus Health Systems embarked on a mission to create specialized healthcare environments where patients could receive treatment and rehabilitation specific to their needs. The company, which is privately owned and headquartered in Houston, Texas, has continued to build upon a tradition of excellence as it strives to provide each individual with dignity, respect, compassion and positive outcomes.

Nexus Health Systems provides medical services in the residential and medical specialty fields. We provide post-acute, transitional and vocational rehabilitation services to individuals who suffer from traumatic brain injuries. Nexus also provides post-acute medical care and rehabilitation services to children and adults who are medically complicated, technology dependent, and/or catastrophically impaired.

Nexus has continued to build or expand facilities in order to meet patient demand and operates three freestanding specialty hospitals and a residential rehabilitation campus.

  • HealthBridge Children's Hospital in Orange, CA was established in 2000 as a pediatric facility licensed as an acute care pediatric hospital to accommodate both acute care pediatric needs and long-term sub-acute care.

  • HealthBridge Children's Hospital in Houston, TX is a pediatric specialty hospital which opened in 1999. Its focus is the provision of step-down ICU and rehabilitative care to technologically dependant medically fragile children from birth to age 21.

  • Nexus Specialty Hospital is a long-term acute care hospital which was established in 1995 in The Woodlands, TX. It recently expanded its capacity with the addition of a newly constructed main campus in Shenandoah, TX.

  • Touchstone Neurorecovery Center, located in Conroe, TX has offered neurobehavioral rehabilitation programs ranging from short-term to life-care needs since 1992. Touchstone provides practical treatment designed to meet the behavioral, vocational and community re-entry needs of residents with brain and other neurological injuries.
