Murdock Named VP of Human Resources

Guy Murdock has been appointed Nexus Health Systems vice president of human resources, bringing more than 17 years of human resources experience to the company’s executive leadership team.

“Nexus Health Systems consists of employees working in four different long-term care and rehabilitation facilities, so we needed someone who could spearhead a strategic HR program across different service lines and locations,” said John W. Cassidy, MD, president and CEO of Houston-based Nexus Health Systems. “Guy Murdock has designed and implemented targeted HR campaigns for organizations with dozens of locations and thousands of employees and that type of experience will be a great asset as Nexus Health Systems continues pursuing its plans for expansion.”

Before joining Nexus Health Systems, Murdock was the vice president of human resources for the Mariner Health Care Division of Sava Senior Care in Houston, where he managed the human resources function for approximately 10,000 employees in close to 100 facilities in multiple states. Before moving to Houston, he spent four years as the director of human resources for Adult Care Management Corporation/Senior Management Advisors, Inc. and served as the director of human resources for Theracor Rehabilitation Services, both in Florida. He began his career in HR with Eaton Corporation/Cutler Hammer.

Murdock received a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University and his Master of Business Administration from the University of South Florida.
